About Drop Double
Drop Double is a free browser-based puzzle game that combines the satisfying merge mechanics of 2048 with the positional decision-making of Tetris. Every drop is a choice. Every chain reaction is a rush.
The idea
2048 nailed the "merge two same things into one bigger thing" loop. Tetris nailed the "where do I put this piece?" decision. We wondered: what if you fused them? The result is Drop Double — a game where you don't passively swipe a board, you actively aim where each new tile lands.
Why play in the browser?
- No download. Open the tab, start playing in under a second.
- No account. Your high scores stay in your browser. We never see them.
- No paywall, no in-app purchases. Just the game.
- Works on anything with a browser — phone, tablet, laptop, work computer (we won't judge).
How it's made
Drop Double is built with vanilla JavaScript and HTML5 — no heavy frameworks. That's why it loads instantly and runs smoothly even on older devices. Total page weight: under 50KB.
Will there be more?
